Abstract

|
|
In this paper, we consider merits and demerits of VoIP service support approach over the air link environment. And, we decide that VoIP over packet switching is a more attractive approach in several points. Then, we point out the major requirements for successful VoIP service over the air link. Also, we propose VoIP CP concept for efficient wireless channel utilization. And, we analyze and evaluate the performance. According to performance results, we show that VoIP over wireless network based on packet switching could give a performance improvement of increased VoIP subscribers at simultaneous time or improved data service capability by re-using silence period of voice service.
